Can you guys test it again it seems that entrance 0 wasn't checked as enterable. I updated it but I can't test it where I am since im not at home.

Edit: I changed the entrance to a standard one rather than a pipe.

By the way are you people having problems renaming the arc file first? The file comes named as 1-03 it should be 01-03.

Well you do not have to really. You see When I click replace I just find the .arc file and then it does everything for me. It keeps the name on the iso put inputs the data from your arc. So I could input 13242.arc into 01-01.arc and it would still be OK as long as that arc is valid. The file on the disc would remain the same name as it was that file's name cannot be changed. Keep it the way it is because I like to know what version I have that way I do not input an older version. I prefer 01-03 vX.

Oh ok, thanks for the information. I had done it once and received a black screen assuming it was because of the name. Oh well it must have been a faulty arc.

Two little things I see that can be tweeked in this level:

-Now that you have a castle tileset, it should be added to this stage.
-You can see 3 tiles of the floor at the beginning and end, when you should only be able to see 2. It just makes the camera seem a little out of place at the beginning and the end, and is inconsistent with the other levels where seeing 2 tiles of the floor is standard.

Here's an important design question:

I noticed that many stages still have a bigger height than the screen. In 01-03 for example you can't see what's below you when standing on a high platform. Is this intentional? None of the NES stages ever had vertical scrolling, so I think we need to fix the zone height of all stages where it's too big.
Also, what about disabling left-scrolling? Backtracking should be impossible in SMB.

Checking the 01-02 remake, a zone should be no higher than 13 1/2 tiles or 222px, is that correct?

Wow, this is an incredible observation. I noticed that you couldn't see the platforms below you in some of those stages, but never really though of why. I think fixing all of the stages to not have vertical scrolling would GREATLY improve capturing the feel of SMB. Great catch!

I'll mess around and see if thats the correct stage height.
