- Updated background (giantpune)

- Fixed boundaries
- Edited for 1:1 accuracy
- Edited for the new lava tileset
- Added text to the end

17th April 2010
-Made lava stay in its area so it won't appear as thought some things are further back(Ragee1234)

14th April 2010
- Removed autoscrolling camera
- Lowered platform

9th April 2010
- Changed entrance location
- Changed right boundary
- Changed fireball spawn position
- Added autoscrolling camera once "bowser" is dead to prevent backtracking. Should fix nintendofan3212's problem.
- Changed timer to 300
- Changed platform to be horizontal

7th April 2010

- Added toad and chest back in, removed boss door

6th April 2010

- Removed the toad and chest and replaced it with 1-tower boss and midpoint.

I know but once we replace all the levels from the original a normal exit like that might not trigger the right events to allow you to progress. I haven't tested it yet if it does we can remove the boss battle. You would have to start a new save to test it.

Edit: The easiest way to test would be to replace 1-tower and 1-castle with my original 1-4. If it allows you to continue to world 2 after the castle then it wont be a problem.

Alright testing now so far it works on the first tower now to just get to the end castle.

Alright done testing, it works 100% with just a toads chest. At the end the ship flies off to world 2 and you go world 2.

I'll probably make a comparison graphic and list out any oddities that I can find, but for now I've just got to point out something.

The moving platform near 'Bowser'. Shouldn't it move horizontally, instead of vertically?

I am starting to think that the hammer bro would be the better option for the level end, Bowser looks wrong and out of place.

I would rather see bowser!! Other than that it seems a lot easier than the original hahaha!!I got the chest then ran back onto the platform and found the chest closed again and the game still going hit the chest then ran back to the platform. Fire Bros fell into lava even tho he did already, then the game ended!! Great Job tho!!

Have just tested the current version, and i have to say its just about perfect, gameplay wise anyway. I dont think we r gonna get any closer to the original that what we have now.

My game crashes every time when I kill "Bowser" or try to step into Toad's room. I can't pin down the exact cause of error yet, because restarting the game takes so long.
However, it's only some castles that crash, 02-04 works fine for me.

For the record, I use Riivolution.

Either your change to the right boundary or the autoscrolling camera broke this level. I'm using Riivolution, and it freezes for me as well when I hit the switch.

Also, the moving platform near "Bowser" is too high. You can't jump onto it!


In All-Stars, according to your maps, there are 3 rows of tiles between the bridge and platform.
In this map, there are 5 rows of tiles between the bridge and the platform. Please lower it.

I tried 5 times 1-4
everytime I hit the switch, the game freezes
also I can pass the switch and touch the toad without touching the switch
it doesn't make sense

anyone can pass this lvl without freeze?

Yea sorry about that the problem is known and a fix should be up soon. The previous version will work fine for now if you want to play through it.

Otherwise you can trigger the IF event controller and be locked out of the end of the level:

just tried out the newest version with riivolution, and at the end of the level you can jump over the bowser substitute get the box and then kill him.
just thought id let you know.
were there invisi-coin blocks in the original? i never noticed them before.
EDIT: just did the lvl again, i killed the sub, but before he went in the lava i got the box and the sub was off screen to the left, the lvl didnt end. i went back and saw the sub fall into the lava, lvl ended.
sub starts shooting fireballs before you enter the boss room.
the block door for the boss room starts a little quick, i feel like i might get stuck in it.
you can kill the sub by jumping on him, anyway to make him less vulnerable?

Yeah that problem has been around for a long time originally it was fixed with an autoscrolling camera that would trigger when the fire bro died which would prevent backtracking. However that caused other problems like freezing. I don't know of any other way we could fix it without putting another wall after the "bowser" battle.

i just beat it with out using yellow button at the end. killed sub, jumped button, got box, ended.

got stuck behind boss door for the first time, was trying to get stuck in the door but fireballs scared me.
cant get stuck, just pushes you to which ever side you're closest too.

That was awesome. Really. I had the feeling i was playing SMB1

One problem

The end looks bad. I mean you come to the boss and you can see a bit of the text. Not good.

Also:There were too many fireballs before the boss reduce them a bit.

Else it's awesome
