Wow, this is a complete waste of time....
lol, just download the SZS Modifier, ( a program coded by one of my friends, Chadderz)

Extract the file from the ISO, open it with SZS and you see the previews, double click the pic and replace, doen in less then 10 seconds Wink

I tried that, it doesn't work. You can extract the logo as a .png file but then it won't work replacing it as, you need tplmii to convert it back to a .tpl file.

Regarding replacing levels in the iso, ive done as above upto putting SMB worlds 1 to 4 into NSMBW worlds 1 and 2. I have gone one stage further and got SMB World 5 into NSMBW world 3, but for SMB World 6 when it comes to inserting 6-3 into the iso, there is no 3-06.arc. So my question is Where does it go?

Good point I didn't think of that. Maybe we could replace the ghost house (3-21) with one of the levels.

Ok it could be a similar problem to what I had with replacing 2-24 (where I had to change the area) ill do some testing and find out.

Logo Replacement and Suggested Level Placement Empty
PostSubject: Re: Logo Replacement and Suggested Level Placement   Logo Replacement and Suggested Level Placement EmptyThu May 06, 2010 11:12 pm

Any suggestions for world 5-8?

One question, I'm trying to understand how this works and this is confusing me:

"01-01.arc is level 1 world 1 should be replaced with SMB level 1 World 1
02-01.arc is level 1 world 2 should be replaced with SMB level 1 World 3"

Why replace 1-2 with smb 1-3? Do the names not have any effect on the order of the levels when playing?

Thanks CanadaX21 for the reply below Smile

Thanks.

Level 1 world 3 = 03-01

NSMBW World 01 levels 01-04 are filled with original World 1 levels 1 - 4
NSMBW World 01 levels 05-08 are filled with original World 2 levels 1 - 4
NSMBW World 02 levels 01-04 are filled with original World 3 levels 1 - 4
etc.

Hello and thank you for the great site and all the help it provides.

I have a problem when changing the logo. I wanted to make my own logo, so I used every one of the programs I could find. I read all the documentation needed to be sure I did it correctly. Yet no matter what I always get a black screen when I load the game. If I use other games like the "Next Levels", the logo for that game seems to boot fine. So I guess what I am asking is, why wont my self created logos load? If you need any other info just ask. Thanks in advance.

I dunno if you've seen this already, but here is a pretty good guide on how to do it.
http://www.mario-mods.com/2010/06/changing-title-screen-logo_18.html

The biggest mistake that people make when trying to replace this file is they don't use the correct image format. When using tplmii, you must use the low quality option for it to not freeze your game.
