It's been awhile since I posted here but here is a 2D Mario game was revealed at E3 this year for Nintendo's new console the Wii U: New Super Mario Bros. Mii. As the title suggest, it's a Super Mario Bros. game where you not only play as Mario, Luigi, and the Toads, but also as your Miis. It's in 1080p (aka HD that can compete with Xbox 360 and PS3) but the artsyle is still extremely similar to NSMBW.

But there is bad news to this: Nintendo at E3 constantly told us that this is NOT an upcoming game but is only a Tech Demo for the Wii U. Knowing Nintendo, this game would obviously be an easy cash cow so I highly believe that this will see the light of day. What's your opinion on this?
Also, there are five levels in the E3 demo (which 90% of the stuff is something you can get from NSMB Wii) so maybe someone could makes some of those levels with Reggie.

I don't think it will see the light of day. It is just thrown together using resources from New Super Mario Bros Wii, with a few small additions here-or-there. Probably took less than a month of work to make the additional resources, and have a Mario demo for the Wii U.
I believe the next Mario game for Wii U will be 100% original content. Just my thoughts, though.
