| This is great, though the special exits feel a bit weird, I think thats the best we can get. | |

if 2 players play 4-4, black screen after loading Ok I will try to find out what is wrong. We have had a lot of problems with the level because of the seamless scrolling that is hardcoded into the game engine.

| Testing 04-04.arc (4.53 KB) 1:1 accuracy is perfect Only problem is the zone height, Y position should be 320 and Y size needs to be 224, not 227 | |

Its hardly an update, I just made the first area look a little bit more like the actual level to mask the area switch a little

| make the screen at the end being centered i mean the text.
Neat level i don't like it that you see what way you have to go at the end...
Also stupid: if you run left at the start and then right you come into a warp point.
And: The fireballs are shooting way too early
Last thing: There is a ability to make those ways with scroll... Isn't it possible to do the same without scrolling?

There is a way to copy that. There must be one! (except Nintendo made some variables that only allow it in that level which would be over rated)

| Ok..........so we'll say this.....Currently there is no way to alter the variables that nintendo put in.
Even tho it is still "hard coded" into that level, cos thats the only one that has given us problems.

| Basically the correct and incorrect path through 2-castle is hardcoded into the engine. If you replace 2-castle with a normal level a lot of really wierd things can happen that is why we added a corridor to the beginning with a area change. I played around with 2-castle a lot trying to find a way to make it work with no success. As far as I know we can't change the correct path without asm hacking. If someone finds a way to do it then we would implement it but I dont think it's worth the time right now. | |
