Miyamoto Will Show off a Super Mario Bros. game for the 3DS at E3

Admit it, it was obvious that Nintendo would make a Super Mario Bros. game for their new system the 3DS. But it was today that Shigeru Miyamoto has announced that there is one on our way. Here is what he said:

So, in the interests of adopting new technology for the Super Mario Bros. tradition, I am now making a new Super Mario Bros. game for the Nintendo 3DS system. I want to show everyone as soon as possible what the new Super Mario Bros. will be like on the Nintendo 3DS.

Expect to hear more info at E3.


Since I've loved all 8 previous SMB games (and the 2 Super Mario Land games), I can't wait! This is what I'd like to see (PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS LIST IS WHAT I WANT, NOT WHAT'S IN THE GAME):

Sounds interesting! I'm looking forward to seeing what they do with the 3D as far as gameplay.

Hopefully, it won't just be Super Mario Bros + depth.

Another thing I'd like to see is make it available to also play in the background like in the canceled game "VB Mario Land" for the Virtual Boy (Jump to around 3:15 in the vid for the Mario game):

I want to say that Wario Land, or some other game did that too. Not sure which one.

Wait, didn't Donkey Kong Country Returns let you play in the background too? I'm sure we'll see the same kind of stuff on the 3DS.
