| Hi everyone, I am BradleyDS2 (duh ) I own 2 Wii's and the fist console I ever modded was a Wii, my 2 Wii's are firmwares 4.2E and 4.3E. I can extract files from games and edit models but I can not UV map textures DX. I will try to come on here a few times a week. Oh and I want to be a level tester if possible | |

| You can edit models? That's pretty cool. Do you have any examples? | |

*Reads own post* *feels stupid* I meant to put convert, whoops DX Well I can edit but depends on what type of editing. Major editing for example I am bad at. Sorry about that :S Also I know python coding, not that it is useful here Also basic LUA. But as I said, not very useful on wii stuff :S

| Knowing Python is actually extremely useful for Wii stuff! Megazig, a member of Newer, writes programs in Python for editing a ton of file formats in the game. I believe the NSMBW Level Editor, Reggie!, is written in Python. I'm thinking of learning it - how long did it take you to learn? Any advice?

What do you mean by converting 3D models? Edit something, however simple, to show an example.

Well I learned a modified python, it took about a week, but some people it took 3 months, I am learning the non-modified version atm. It took about 3 days to learn about variables and not make a bunch of mistakes though Also if you are after a tutorial use docs .python .org /tutorial YEAH! Finally found a bypass for the links, also works with swear filters etc Also do you have an example for something to edit? And by convert I mean converting the file formats, I convert ds models and make pepakura from them as a hobby. Although I can't UV map them after converting them...

| Can you convert a 3D model, edit it, and put it back into the game?
I don't know anything about 3D modeling, what is UV mapping?
Edit anything. Take a Goomba, make him tall or stretched or something, and place him back into the game. If you need help finding any particular file in the game, let us know: we know where most everything is.

Yes I can, in fact to show you I made an iso with a changed Boo model, but since it has a different game code I need to restart the game and there are no ghost houses at the beginning DX And UV mapping is fixing up how the texture is applied to the model basically.

| Cool! Upload just the changed Boo model here so I can check it out. Or post a video of it. | |

| Nope, and now I can't DX. I am very sorry about all that... Also I stopped learning python, now I am trying to learn it again so that I can port the game I am currently making to it and add textures, make music work on 32 bit computers etc etc. I got about 10 1500 page ebooks so it may take a while, also I am not sure whether to learn python 2 or python 3... I will just learn both | |
