Hey Guys: Rejuvenation

Hey guys its been a while sense I have been around. I can not believe how far this project has gone after I started it and how it grew and people began to join. I have been gone for a while as school kicked in at the end of last summer but as this year is about to end i will do my best to come back and see what i can do to continue the project. Hopefully more people will join us again but regardless ill begin to get reformed with the project and began lending helping hand by the middle of June. Again, thanks to all those who helped and hopefully we will be able to finish this up soon.

-I posted this already but though I would make it its own topic

-Also i think i am going to make a list of what my plans are
1)go through the entire forum and download all the available materials that was created.
2)make some sort of informal patch
3)clean the entire forum so it shows a somewhat final product where people can see what we have done and join if they can contribute

(reminder I will begin this plan around mid June...so hang tight)

Welcome back Ragee! It is good to see you. Looking forward to get this thing completed finally.

CanadaX21 and I have a few things that were never posted on the forums, I think. Nothing too major, but still cool stuff. We also had a list going of things that needed to be done.

Also, no need to dig around the forums for the most recent files. Go to the Download Center. This has everything, except for some of marduk666's stuff.

We've cleaned up the forum a lot since you were last here. But yeah, it would be good to clean it up some more. I was careful not to delete posts, as the forum is a good indicator of who has done what. Maybe moving irrelevant posts to an archive section to get them out of the way?

I've been in the mood to work on this again. Found a few levels that black screen, and made notes of some misc things that should be looked at. Anyone around that wants to work on this with me?

The levels that are giving me black screens are 04-01.arc, 04-04.arc, and 04-05.arc.

Anybody else having this problem? I remember these levels working before. I have no idea what could have broken them.

I can confrim 04-01 gives black screen

I am playing it from an iso,
I'll try yours soon and see if it fixes the issue do you have a working 04-04.arc, and 04-05.arc
i havent tried 4-04 and 4-05 yet because of 4-01 so i dont know for sure

A black screen on also 8-1 & the last level on world 8 when i arrived at the big ! under the real princess!

I'm playing with riivolution. I'll test the other levels and if they work i'll post 'em.

EDIT: scratch that 4-1 I posted world 4-1 not the 04-01.arc sorry. If I could erase my posts i would.

I'm also playing with Riivolution. I'm thinking there is some broken tiles in the tilesets causing the levels to freeze. I took 04-04.arc and removed everything except the ground tiles, and it loaded up fine.

Glad to see some of the original crew still here and active, and that the project is still going. Im gonna download everything from scratch all over again and give it all a whirl.

Im also available to help out with some testing, tweaking, whatever if im needed.

Anyway glad to be back.

Hey, just bought a new disc to replace my old scratched one lol.

Time to start using riivolution again

I should probably upload my current version of the game, I'm not sure how many edits I've done in the past few months

Glad to see you back! We haven't really made much progress in the past few months, bit it's ok. Make sure you download the files in the Download Center, instead of the individual posts.

Nice! This would be a good time to upload the small graphical updates the two of us have been working on too. Does your 04-01.arc, 04-04.arc, and 04-05.arc black screen? They have for me, and I'm not sure why. x66x66 said he's played through everything in the download center, and these were the only levels he's had problems with.

I'm really looking forward to seeing what all you've done! Please upload it!

Wow, your signature is colorful

• One of the biggest things that we should try to do is customize the menus. I know you can use Benzin to convert them to xml files, and change them. Anybody have any experience with that?
  
  
• We should also get NeoRame to come back and update our cover art, and decide on one as the official one.
  
  
• Oh, and decide on what music to use for the menus and overworld.

Those are the biggies I can think of right now

Anyone ever get these levels Working, I am also having problems with 05-27.arc (C-1)

And unrelated to that does anyone know where to find the tiles for snow and underground that had grey/Blue ? Blocks and Bricks?

Download the latest levels that CanadaX21 posted. He remade those three levels that were giving black screens.

About the [?] blocks, are you talking about the new ones that flicker? We made them all yellow because that is how they are in the original games. I guess CanadaX21 made the castle ones red again because the castle looks a little bland. Do you think it would be better to use the blue bricks too?

Yeah I think the blue and grey ? blocks give it a little something, it's more pleasing to my eyes anyway. I like the yellow in the castles tho.

I not familiar with benzin as much as you think... unfortunetly I never got it to compile properly...If you guys need help with someone benzin related your man would be diddy ....Though unfortunetly like I said I am only free to do this on sunday (EU timezone) as for that is my only free day....

And my I remeber what a hard task it was to replace files
